'Tivauche',
our Burgundy farmhouse, is the brainchild of Bill and Jenny Higgs (of
'Le Papillon' fame). The property is a clever restoration of adjoining
farm buildings. High on a ridge, with views overlooking the
pastoral Auxois countryside, 'Tivauche' sits in a hamlet that even many
of the locals do not know, it's that far off the beaten path. 'Al
fresco' dining can be in the orchard or on one of several terraces. The farmhouse interior
is exquisite, and you see the Papillon touch in every room. There is a
particularly beautiful curving cantilevered limestone stair case that
the Higgs' commissioned. All five guest bedrooms are a good size and with 'en suite'
bathrooms. And Ellie loves the kitchen!
